Ottawa Gee-Gees and Acadia Axemen will play for the bronze medal
OTTAWA – The CIS Final 8 Men’s Basketball Championship, hosted by the Carleton Ravens, continued today at Scotiabank Place with two consolation semifinal games and two semifinal matchups. The Carleton Ravens and Lakehead Thunderwolves remain in the hunt for the W.P. McGee Trophy, which will be presented to the national champion following Sunday’s final.
The Carleton University men’s basketball team find themselves in a familiar position as they look to three-peat as national champions and become the first program in history to claim a ninth W.P. McGee Trophy. The Ravens are currently tied with the University of Victoria Vikes with eight championship wins.

The lone Sunday session begins at 11 a.m. with the fifth-place game (No. 6 McGill vs. No. 8 Victoria), followed by the 1:15 p.m. bronze medal game (No. 2 Ottawa vs. No. 5 Acadia) and the 3:30 p.m. championship game. Championship Sunday session tickets, which include entry to all three of Sunday’s games at Scotiabank Place, are available starting at $20.
